THE LIGHT EXPRESS

 

At a train station, passengers are anxiously waiting to board an old time steam engine, The Light Express, for what seems to be an exciting weekend trip to an exotic theme park.

When the train arrives, the Engineer gives them some last minute instructions to prepare them for the journey. He seems pretty cool until he casually mentions that once the train takes off, they won't remember him. The passengers board the train thinking that the Engineer is a bit weird, but soon they relax and begin to settle into a deep sleep.

When they wake up, they are infants.

The train ride is a trip through life as the passengers grow from children to teens to married couples and eventually to old age and death.

​

The Engineer never leaves them and is always there to help or kick some sense into them. Still, the passengers do not see him until they pass into death and find themselves ready for the next great adventure.
